CHEESE SCONES
|

INGREDIENTS: |
• 225g Flour (sifted √ for
infestation) • Salt, pinch of • 55g Butter •
25g Cheddar Cheese, grated “KOSHER” • 150ml Milk
|

DIRECTIONS: |
|
1. Preheat oven to 200ºC. 2. Lightly grease a baking sheet.
3. Mix together the flour & salt and blend in the butter. 4.
Stir in the cheese and then the milk to get a soft dough. 5.
Turn onto a floured work surface and knead very lightly. 6. Pat
out to form a round 2cm thick dough. 7. Using a 5cm cutter to
stamp out circular rounds and place on the baking sheet. 8.
Lightly knead together the rest of the dough. 9. Stamp out more
circular rounds to use all the dough up. 10. Brush the tops of
the scones with a little milk. 11. Bake for 12-15 minutes until
well risen and golden. 12. Cool on a wire rack.
YIELDS:
8-12 SCONES
