DAIRY HOLIDAY -  HOT HONEY APPLE CINNAMON RAISIN TOPPING:


INGREDIENTS: 
  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
  • 3 medium apples, peeled, cored and sliced (about 1 cups)
  • 1/3 cup apple cider
  • 1/3 cup seedless raisins
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS:  
Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over Medium-low heat. Add the apples and cider; cook, stirring occasionally, until the apples begin to soften, about 10 minutes. Add the raisins, honey, cinnamon, and vanilla and stir until blended. Continue cooking about 5 minutes. Serve hot.

Makes 1 pint
