  PESACH, PASSOVER RECIPES   מתכונים כשרים לפסח    
 
 
  KOSHER PESACH RECIPES  
 

JOAN’S CHICKEN in RED WINE

INGREDIENTS:   
  • 1 medium-size chicken
  • ½ cup olive oil    “ELEA”
  • 2 medium onions, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, coarsely chopped
  • 2 cups red wine  “KP”
  • 1 lb. ripe tomatoes, peeled, seeded and chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS:
    1. Cut chicken into serving pieces
    2. Wash well and pat dry.
    3. In a large stewing pot, heat olive oil and brown onion for 3 minutes.
    4. Continue cooking chicken until juices have evaporated, turning frequently.
    5. Add garlic, wine and 2 cups warm water and simmer until chicken is half cooked.
    6. Continue cooking for another 30 minutes.
    7. Serve with plain rice, with roasted or fried potatoes or with noodles.
